AVONDALE, La. (March 28, 2025) – Nicolas Ambiado secured the pole for the 2025 Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) season opener at NOLA Motorsports Park. The second-year FR Americas driver set four fastest laps last season, but the NOLA pole will be the first of his FR Americas career. Laying down a 1:32.658 lap, Ambiado (No. 55 Velox USA Ligier JS F3) bettered second-place Bruno Ribeiro (No. 01 Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3) by just 0.147 seconds. The 2025 field is shaping up to be a competitive one, with the top-six drivers separated by less than a second. Nicolas Stati (No. 15 Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3), last year’s F4 U.S. Championship Vice Champion, qualified third.
