Chloe Chambers and Nicole Havrda Among Starting Lineup for 2025 Season of F1 ACADEMY
CHARLOTTE (March 21, 2025) – When the lights go out to start the 2025 F1 ACADEMY season at Shanghai International Circuit on Saturday, there will be two graduates representing Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) and Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) on the starting grid, as both Chloe Chambers and Nicole Havrda are among the 18 women selected to compete in the highly-contested F1 ACADEMY this season.
“We’re thrilled to have Nicole and Chloe represent FR Americas and F4 U.S. on the F1 ACADEMY grid this season,” said Scott Goodyear, President of FR Americas and F4 U.S. “Their talent is palpable. Just last season, Nicole became only the second woman ever to podium in FR Americas; and after graduating from F4 U.S., Chloe became the first and only woman to win a race in FR Oceania. We can’t wait to cheer them on as they race around the world this season.”
With the Shanghai season opener coinciding with Women’s History Month, it’s the perfect time to celebrate women as F1 ACADEMY goes full speed into the 2025 season.
After representing MoneyGram Haas F1 Team last season, Chambers returns to Campos Racing with new colors as she represents the Red Bull Ford Academy in 2025. With a two-year limit in place for all F1 ACADEMY participants, the 2025 season will be Chambers’ final chance at the year-end scholarship prize. Meanwhile, Havrda’s top priority will be her effort representing American Express with Hitech TRG—the newest team on the F1 ACADEMY grid. However, she’ll keep her skills sharp while also competing for Kiwi Motorsport in six of the eight FR Americas rounds this season.
Beyond the connection of being alumni of race series on Parella Motorsports Holdings’ (PMH) open wheel ladder, both Havrda and Chambers have benefitted from the PMH Powering Diversity Scholarship to advance their career. Havrda is one of 14 scholarship recipients this season, while Chambers was one of the original three scholarship recipients back in 2021.
At least one graduate of FR Americas or F4 U.S. has competed in each of F1 ACADEMY’s three seasons, with Maite Cáceres racing in 2023, Chambers in 2024-2025, and Havrda joining the grid in 2025.
After qualifying fourth and 12th, respectively, Chambers and Havrda will pull down the starting grid for Race 1 tomorrow at 1:50 p.m. local time. Race 2 is scheduled to go lights out at 10:45 a.m. China Standard Time on Sunday morning.
