2025 to Kick Off with Pre-Season Test at NOLA

CHARLOTTE (January 17, 2025) – With the 2025 race season set to commence at NOLA Motorsports Park, Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas), Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) and Ligier JS F4 Series (JS F4) have announced a pre-season test that will take place at the New Orleans facility on March 10-11.

“We’re excited to add a pre-season test at NOLA Motorsports Park in the weeks leading up to the NOLA SpeedTour,” said race director Scott Goodyear. “It’s a great opportunity for drivers to get warmed up for the year, and for the teams and series to get a jumpstart on the season.”

A combined effort between JENSEN and Parella Motorsports Holdings (PMH), the two-day test will provide FR Americas, F4 U.S. and JS F4 drivers with ample track time to gain familiarity with their cars, teams and the circuit ahead of the season opener. PMH will have various officials on hand. The race director, as well as staff from registration, tech and marketing, will allow teams to get a jump start on everything from their season credentials to annual car inspections and driver equipment. In addition, Ligier Automotive will be on site with their parts truck, and Hankook Motorsports will provide on-site tire support.

Just like a regular event weekend, the test will begin with a driver’s meeting and track walk before cars get on track. In addition to regular track time, there will be a separate standing start practice to allow drivers to prepare for the first event of the year.

“At the conclusion of the 2024 race season, in the spirit of good competition, we discussed booking NOLA Motorsports Park to provide our new crop of young drivers with an opportunity to learn the circuit a few weeks in advance of the 2025 season opener," said Eric Jensen, owner of FR Americas and JS F4 team, JENSEN. "Much thanks to Tony Parella and Scott Goodyear for their significant contribution to provide so many promising young talents with safe and competitive race series to advance their aspirations of becoming professional race car drivers. Also, many thanks for their taking advantage of our test dates by adding the ability for teams and drivers to complete the licensing, registration, tech, etc., which will allow everyone's focus to be on competition at the 2025 season opener two weeks later.”
