CHARLOTTE (January 10, 2025) – The 2025 Castol Toyota Formula Regional Oceania Championship opens this weekend at New Zealand’s Taupo International Motorsport Park and five drivers from Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) and Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) are among the starting grid.
Led by Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport co-owners Garry Orton and Teena Larsen, Kiwi Motorsport will race with a trio of familiar names. Jett Bowling and Nicolas Stati, who race with Orton and Larsen in FR Americas and F4 U.S., respectively, will be among the starting grid. Additionally, Kiwi Motorsport has partnered with Atlantic Racing Team to enter FR Americas driver James Lawley in the organization’s third entry.
While stateside, Crosslink Kiwi Motorsports has engineer Stephen Giles under their tent. However, when they’re down under, Giles’ is a rival as he enters drivers of his own under the Giles Motorsport banner. F4 U.S. fans will recognize both names as two-time winner Alex Crosbie and two-time podium finisher Barrett Wolfe join forces with Giles to take on the five-round FR Oceania Championship.
Race 1 kicks off Saturday, January 11 at 3:49 p.m. New Zealand time. Details about the weekend can be found on the FR Oceania Championship website.
