It’s that time of year when we reflect on the year that was, and start to look forward to the upcoming season. With the new year just days away, we’re revisiting some of the biggest news to hit the FR Americas paddock this year. Covering everything from the 2025 schedule announcement, to a new scholarship program and prize fund for the upcoming season, it was another year filled with exciting news and storylines.

FR Americas Scholarship Program Revamped for 2025
Prize Fund to Present New Opportunities, Support for Talented Racers; Strengthens Ladder That Includes Scholarships for F4 U.S. and JS F4 Champions
CHARLOTTE (November 14, 2024) – Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) has announced a new scholarship program for its 2025 season, awarding up to six drivers in the highly-contested championship with cash prizes to assist in the next step of their racing career. With incremental prizes given to each of the top-five drivers, as well as the top-finishing rookie, the 2025 Driver Champion is set to be awarded $100,000 cash.

FR Americas, F4 U.S. and Ligier JS F4 Series Unveil 2025 Schedules
CHARLOTTE (September 27, 2024) – With 2025 quickly approaching, Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas), Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) and Ligier JS F4 Series (JS F4) have announced their 2025 race schedules. Mixing some of the most iconic circuits in North America with some of the best training grounds for young talent, each series will have a calendar focused on driver development and safety. In total, eight tracks are featured, as FR Americas competes at all eight venues, F4 U.S. at seven and JS F4 at six of the renowned circuits.

Toney Driver Development Set for FR Americas Debut with Hailie Deegan and Brady Golan
October 1, 2024 – Launching a driver development program to advance the skill set of the next motorsports stars, Toney Driver Development (TDD) is putting a pair of their drivers into race action next month. Taking on the Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) finale at the famed Circuit of The Americas (COTA) over the October 31 to November 3 weekend, TDD will make their race weekend debut with Hailie Deegan and Brady Golan.

Drivers Headed Back to The Classroom
CHARLOTTE (August 22, 2024) – It’s that time of year again when the drivers of Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas), Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.), and Ligier JS F4 Series (JS F4) must trade in their helmet bag for a bookbag as they head back to school. Balancing life as both a racecar driver and student is nothing new to the group, with over 70% of the F4 U.S. and JS F4 fields juggling work on the track and in the classroom, and nearly half of the FR Americas field doing the same.

Chip Ganassi Racing Formalizes Driver Development Program, Partners with Kiwi Motorsport
INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 7, 2024) – Chip Ganassi Racing (CGR) has launched a new driver development program leveraging its championship-winning formula to create strategic partnerships across motorsports as a development pipeline to the top level of motorsports in North America.
The program will allow CGR to identify talent competing with its partner teams at an earlier age and help provide a home for drivers as they develop in the CGR ecosystem.
Drivers with partner teams will be included in CGR programs based out of its state-of-the-art shop in Indianapolis including physical, mental and media training, technical education, simulator training, business development and a presence at select INDYCAR SERIES events.
