Canadian driver will join Indy based team in Austin, Texas
Heading into the final weekend of the 2020 Formula Regional Americas Championship Powered by Honda, HMD Motorsports has added Marco Kacic to their lineup. The 17-year-old Canadian will be joining the HMD Motorsports trio in a fourth entry for the final event at Circuit of the Americas over the October 23-25 weekend.
While the upcoming weekend will be Kacic’s debut FR Americas event, he is no stranger to the HMD Motorsports team or car. Earlier this year, Kacic completed a series of private tests with the team at Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, Illinois in the Ligier JS F3 chassis. Over the course of multiple test days, Kacic settled into the car and was able to improve his comfort, speed and feedback to the engineering team.

New to the series, he is certainly not new to open wheel formula racing. Just last year, Kacic was crowned Champion in the F4 Formula Pro USA Championship Presented by ExclusiveAuctions.com where he won seven of the ten races and earned nine podiums and five pole positions. Kacic has been successful in every series he has entered, winning multiple races and championships, and he is expecting nothing less in FR Americas.
